Our Values

Our company values dictate who we are, why we do things and why we think we're different. We think they're quite important and want to share them with you...

These are to always;

- put the project and client's brief at the heart of the decision making process (not just to design what is the easiest).

- consider the wider stakeholders. This means designing solutions with the end user(s) and installing contractor(s) in mind (by thinking how heavy things are and how they will go together).

- add value to a project.

- be a proactive part of the design team (not just a reactive member to minimise our involvement & maximise our fee, like some others).

- visit site (where possible). This is to discuss the client's brief, introduce our self as a design team member and to undertake a due diligence exercise of understanding the existing building and site constraints.

-  be approachable and to proactively communicate with all members of the client, design and contractor teams (as this is the best way to get the best for the project as a whole).

- be honest, straightforward and transparent in all decision making and justification processes.

- strive to learn, develop and to be open to new ideas, concepts and suggestions. (we are proud to be working towards a UKAS qualification for quality management, ISO 9001:2015. This ensures we maintain our own high standards of quality and underlines our commitment to achieving the best for our clients).

- consider the environment and the impact our decisions have upon it. (i.e. minimising paper printing, reducing our travel footprint by making environmentally conscious travel decisions, minimising our carbon footprint at desktop level by never unnecessarily printing paper and to reduce the environmental impact of our site making decisions by reusing as much as possible and never knowingly over-designing new materials)

- To ensure that the energy used to power our office comes from 100% green renewable technology. We are proud to confirm that all the electricity & gas used to power our office comes from Good Energy, which boasts 100% renewables to create the electricity from UK wind, solar, hydro & bio-generation. Our gas is also one of the cleanest on the UK market with a part contribution from biomethane and the rest is balanced through verified carbon-reduction schemes that support local communities in Malawi, Vietnam and Nepal.

- To be a valued member of the community. This is something we are still in the early stages of given our relatively recent formation. We aim to support our local community and charities, either through volunteering, donations or offering heavily discounted or voluntary design related services. If you have any suggestions towards this then we would love to hear from you.
